A little 'history :
Until the ninth century in European countries speak the language of the Romans and that is in Latin. It was with the Council of Tours (year 813), at the time of the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne, who had their official course of the Romance languages. The Council decided that the correct Latin would remain in use among the high ranks of the ecclesiastical and political, and religious, to make himself understood by the illiterate masses, must translate their sermons into the rustic Roman language, called romance. The Italian is a Romance language that precisely, from the Latin: "Romania loquendi" (speak as the Romans) and is the direct heir of the Latin-based Florentine used in the fourteenth century. In Italy, however, the romance or vulgar language will be used later than other European countries and because Latin was more deeply rooted in our local cultures and because we do not still have a compact policy planning. Indeed, the first art exhibitions in Italy occurred in Palermo, thanks to Frederick II (1215-1250) who knew how to blend a soup southern regions in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
The Italian language as a glue unit : The Italian language, like the kitchen has succeeded where governments have failed. We think that nel1860 were drawn the boundaries of a kingdom, Italy, in which the people did not understand one another? Illiteracy in those years touched appalling figures. A credit must go to the radio-television has finally released a language that binds us together from Bolzano to Lampedusa. Mention special on the 150th national unity, should be given to an elementary school teacher Alberto Manzi that in 50-60 years, contributed to literacy of millions of illiterate adults, through an innovative method of distance learning. At seven in the evening, in every town of Italy, the people gathered in front of the TV to watch "It's never too late", where good-natured man, on a simple pad of paper mounted on a tripod, wrote with charcoal letters and words always accompanied by a catchy little drawing reference. Thanks to him, more than half a million Italians to complete their primary school. Access to culture also by lower classes has enabled a wider section of the population to learn Italian poets and writers who have declared their art through a language become more and more dignified and more noble .
The Italian language is ill
for decades, began a slow and gradual dying of the national language and the causes are many. The massification of culture has undermined the effective action that was once the school: the political vote, the ease of obtaining the diploma, the disabitudine reading meant that fresh graduates are no longer able to write four lines without making a pile of mistakes. The Englishman stormed into our lives to music and advertising we are inundated with attractive terms we do not know the meaning. Our guys hang with this language is insufficient and then in queries. Now it has become talk and chat if you poke your nose into Facebook, you'll find what happened to our grammar. The phone also has completed the massacre: the guys now are expressed only in acronyms: tvb, ok, out, in me, because, + ttosto etc ... .. and I do not just have to say, "pli" not stands for a new political party, but is simply "poor Italian!" Good Life!
