For centuries, old age meant poverty, but today the risk of being poor appears more related to being young. Recent employment data young people in Italy are scared, they speak of a 29.4 percentage, like countries such as Tunisia, Yemen and Morocco. How come our kids can not find a job? The explanations are many and need to go back upstream to the problem. Nobody wants to learn a trade and so many parents insist on to study even those children who would be better placed to drive a tractor to flip through a manual economy. Thirty years is not going anywhere if you have not completed their studies and later also to learn a trade qualified. manual workers with low skills and of manufactures have suffered from competition from emerging countries as well as the labor of immigrants. Once you could focus instead fixed by political knowledge, but today is not the time of the famous "place to put" political man tries to settle his family only at the risk of ending up on the front pages of every newspaper. But young people are not all equal, say, there are also many who study with merit. The situation does not change much, at least you do not have the luck and the desire to finish the farm of father or son are not art: doctor, pharmacist or notary. The people who are highly trained in Italy find themselves a job offer low, poorly paid and often precarious. Today even the elite of young people with higher education and higher skills across an economic system able to incorporate and "put value" and is forced to leave. Knowledge in Italy is considered anything but an asset, because it is the conviction that "culture can not eat," while elsewhere they know that good ideas are not flukes, but the result of a reflection of investments of knowledge accumulated over time. The era of globalization requires a more comprehensive approach, social and less closed, where the term innovation is a must if you want to be anchored to a market that continually needs to do things in an ever again yesterday and could not be done. The problem is that today in Italy is not the most innovative practices, as innovation is a process with high costs. There is room for innovators, but there who is interested in promoting the development and adoption of innovation . Even large companies have stopped innovating and the young man is forced to act by itself, going outside of Italy. Unfortunately our governments have done and are doing little to enhance who has invested in its intellectual capital. Politicians, to be beautiful, denounced the anomalies, but does not offer anything concrete. I am reminded of the many ideas that could be adopted, such as introducing tax breaks for companies who are taking at least contracts time young people spend in research and marketing, giving free services be spent on the cognitive level (postgraduate courses, free books, ...), grant stage free for deserving young people with high qualifications to be employed in SOEs, incorporate rai in the unjust charge a single fee that covers the Internet for all Italian homes. I know we're talking about an island that is not there, and elsewhere are well aware that a knowledge of intellectual products are out of materials that can help you sell and make money. That's why Apple does billion with the Ipod and not us! If young people do not propose new and alternative We certainly can not expect that they do the old, because now they can deal more easily with the rest of the world.
Good Life!
