Friday morning at the station Leopolda (Piazza Guerrazzi, Pisa) will start the event expected Bookout - the first LGBT book fair in Italy (opening scheduled at 11.00). We want to have the pleasure to invite you personally, we hope that you will reach many. http://bookout.it From 12 to 14 November 2010 in Pisa, Bookout, the first book fair theme LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans) promoted by the Arcigay Pisa Cesvot contribution of the voluntary service center in Tuscany.
Bookout involve book lovers, industry experts and citizens, and citizens who wish to deepen issues related to homosexuality, lesbianism, transsexuality in a unique event on the national and international scene for the breadth of debate and articulation of space with over thirty authors present , dozens of publishers, exhibitors and industry experts. It is the first time in Italy that books, essays or comics that deal with issues of sexual orientation or gender identity conquer the dignity of a fair trail. Bookout will be an opportunity, with a succession of presentations, readings, lectures, meetings, exhibitions and special guests such as, among many, Ivan Cotroneo, Matthew B. Bianchi, Delia Vaccarello, Thomas Cerno, Ivan Scalfarotto, Giampaolo Silvestri Gnerre and Francis, for a direct comparison between readers and authors who, with their works, have widened his eyes to the existence of lesbian, gay and trans gender. Bookout will allow the deepening of the international political agenda issues such as rights of homosexuals, lesbians and transgender people and combating discrimination and homophobia, but also will challenge the new prospects in the Italian and international literary scene, from the experience of famous writers and emerging authors. Bookout, to be hosted at the Stazione Leopolda in Pisa, a prestigious historic building will also have an exhibition space-selling works on LGBT issues for publishers. There will be amongst others: Basic Books, Feltrinelli, Mimesis, Cicero, The Finger and the Moon and Fabio Croce and many others.
Of particular interest to the lesbian world is the show with "Stop Movie" - presentation and reading of the book with Helen Rossi Cristina Zanetti and readings by Angela Soldani; discussion Monceri with Flavia, who wrote "Beyond the sexual identity" (Ed. ETS, 2010), the presentation of Delia Vaccarello; discussion with Susanna I write about LGBT comic book, the participation of Elena Theban (documentary "Unlike Straight") to debate on the role of publishing in overcoming discrimination; Paola Gouache spoke about "Judaism and homosexuality."
